Smaller boating charts in practical format are well suited for the cockpit and smaller boats, while official nautical charts from chart authorities provide greater overview and cover larger geographical areas per chart sheet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-papir-eller-vannfast-materiale\">Paper or Waterproof Material<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Nautical charts are available both on traditional chart paper and on waterproof and tear-resistant material such as Tyvek.
