Gr\u00fcezi Bag DownWool Summer Light 2.0 is designed for anyone looking for a lightweight and compact sleeping bag for summer, while still wanting more temperature margin than the lightest ultralight summer bags can provide. With a comfort temperature of +7 \u00b0C<\/strong>, it is well suited to summer use in mild to cool conditions.<\/p>\n

It is an excellent choice for hiking, trekking, bikepacking, camping, hut-to-hut trips and travel<\/strong>, as well as mountain trips when temperatures are suitable. A good option when low weight and compact pack size matter, but you still want more warmth and sleeping comfort than a dedicated ultralight summer sleeping bag provides.<\/p>\n

Down + wool \u2013 why DownWool\u00ae?<\/h3>\n

DownWool\u00ae 2.0 combines 70% down with 30% wool.<\/strong> The down provides excellent insulation with low weight and pack volume, while the wool helps regulate both temperature and moisture inside the sleeping bag.<\/p>\n

This is particularly useful in changing conditions. As humidity increases, conventional down can lose some of its insulating performance, while the wool in DownWool\u00ae helps create a more balanced microclimate and makes the insulation less sensitive to high humidity.<\/p>\n

Summer Light 2.0 is tested according to EN ISO 23537-1 with a comfort temperature of +7 \u00b0C and a limit temperature of +2 \u00b0C<\/strong>. Gr\u00fcezi Bag recommends a practical operating range of +7 to +24 \u00b0C<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This gives Summer Light 2.0 noticeably more temperature margin than an ultralight summer sleeping bag, while retaining low weight and a compact pack size. Its temperature-regulating DownWool\u00ae insulation and practical foot ventilation also make it comfortable across a broad range of summer conditions.<\/p>\n

Temperatures can fall quickly at altitude even in summer, so conditions and the weather forecast should always be taken into account when choosing a sleeping bag for mountain use. Individual sensitivity to cold also varies. If you tend to feel the cold, allow an additional temperature margin when choosing your sleeping bag.<\/p>\n

Comfort without unnecessary weight<\/h3>\n

Summer Light 2.0 includes several of the comfort features found on Gr\u00fcezi Bag’s warmer models, including an adjustable hood, lightweight thermal collar, pre-shaped footbox and pillow pocket<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The two-way Auto-Lock zip can be opened from either end and features anti-snag protection to reduce the risk of catching the outer fabric. Gr\u00fcezi Bag’s foot ventilation system also allows excess heat to escape \u2013 or your feet to rest outside the bag \u2013 without having to open the entire sleeping bag.<\/p>\n

Internal and external pockets provide convenient storage for small essentials you want to keep close at hand during the night.<\/p>\n

More room for better sleeping comfort<\/h3>\n

Gr\u00fcezi Bag places considerable emphasis on ensuring that a sleeping bag does not feel unnecessarily restrictive. More space around the body makes it easier to move and turn inside the sleeping bag<\/strong>, rather than having the whole bag move with you as you change sleeping position.<\/p>\n

This is not only about comfort. If a sleeping bag fits too tightly, the body can compress the insulation. As the loft is reduced, its ability to retain warmth can also be reduced.<\/p>\n

For this reason, temperature ratings, weight and pack volume should not be considered in isolation when comparing sleeping bags. A small difference in weight can also reflect a roomier cut and more usable space around the body.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Summer Light 2.0 is available in three sizes with different overall lengths, shoulder widths and foot widths, allowing you to choose a size that suits both your height and the amount of room you prefer.<\/p>\n

Choose the right size<\/h3>\n

DownWool Summer Light 2.0 is available in Regular, Long and Extra Long<\/strong>, allowing you to choose a sleeping bag according to both your height and the amount of room you want around the body.<\/p>\n

Regular<\/strong> is recommended for body heights up to 175 cm and has an overall sleeping bag length of 200 cm, a shoulder width of 77 cm and a foot width of 50 cm.<\/p>\n

Long<\/strong> is recommended for body heights up to 185 cm and has an overall sleeping bag length of 215 cm, a shoulder width of 80 cm and a foot width of 50 cm.<\/p>\n

Extra Long<\/strong> is recommended for body heights up to 200 cm and has an overall sleeping bag length of 230 cm, a shoulder width of 85 cm and a foot width of 60 cm.<\/p>\n

If you are close to the upper end of a size range and prefer additional freedom of movement, you may want to consider the next size up. At the same time, the sleeping bag should not be unnecessarily large, as a greater internal volume means more air for your body to warm.<\/p>\n

Choosing the right size is therefore a balance between freedom of movement, enough room for the insulation to retain its loft and avoiding unnecessary internal volume.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Recycled materials and natural insulation<\/h3>\n

The outer and inner fabrics are made from 100% recycled 20D 380T nylon<\/strong>. The material is lightweight and breathable while also being wind- and water-resistant.<\/p>\n
