Materials

We use the highest quality materials handpicked by us. Print on map paper is produced on map plotters approved by the Swedish Mapping Authority. Art prints are produced with 12-color pigment printers with a lifespan of 100-400 years.

Map paper (90 grams)

Uncoated matte paper 125 grams/m2 (thin paper).

Map paper (180 grams)

Uncoated matte paper 180 grams/m2 (thick paper).

Water and tear resistant paper (Tyvek)

Paper made for harsh conditions. Withstands water and is almost impossible to tear.

Art paper

Cotton-based rag paper (240 gsm) with exclusive structure. The first choice for framing maps.

Aluminum plate

Maps printed on robust and durable Tyvek® mounted on 2 mm thick aluminum composite board. Supplied ready to hang on the wall with profile strips on the back.

Aluminum sheet with glass film

2 mm thick aluminum composite plate with glass film. Exclusive and durable finish that can also be hung outdoors. The glass film gives maps with shading a three-dimensional look. Also perfect if you want to draw on the map with whiteboard markers. Supplied ready to hang on the wall with profile strips on the back.

Nautical charts can be framed with or without passepartout. If you choose passe-partout for the map, the overall size increases. The passepartout is 1.8 mm thick and manufactured by Canson. Maps are framed with float glass without spacers.

All our maps are framed with frame strips from Italian Rosini Cornice. The size of the frame strip is adapted to the size of the map. The frame strips are 15 – 50 mm deep and 12 – 20 mm wide. The black, white, oak and walnut frames are made with Scandinavian pine. The Natur frame is made with linden wood.
