Description
Turkart Alta 1:50,000 is a map package consisting of two map sheets covering Alta and nearby outdoor areas. The maps provide a comprehensive overview of terrain, paths and trails, and are adapted for use throughout the year.
The map package shows recommended hikes and marked trails and ski slopes in the area. In addition, the maps contain information about cabins, shelters, outdoor areas and scooter trails. The terrain information provides a precise representation of contours, water and landscapes, making the maps well suited for planning and carrying out both short and longer trips.
The maps are at a scale of 1:50,000, which is the most common scale for longer trips. At this scale, 2 cm on the map corresponds to 1 km in the terrain. This provides a good balance between level of detail and overview of larger areas.
