How to order and activate a digital licence
Order the right edition
Choose Maritime Manual, List IV or List V. Provide the vessel’s email address for receiving the licence.
We assign the licence
Kart.no assigns an available licence through ITU’s system. We handle assignment; this is not an automatic PDF download at checkout.
Register and install
The vessel completes registration with its details, installs the ITU application and gains access to the publication and digital certificate.
Before you order.
What is ITU?
The International Telecommunication Union publishes key maritime radiocommunication references. Kart.no is an ITU Authorized Reseller supplying genuine ITU publications and digital licences.
Are digital editions ordinary PDF files?
No. The digital edition uses ITU’s Windows application and a licence that must be registered. USB editions provide software on a physical medium.
Can I use the digital edition offline?
Yes. Once downloaded, registered and installed, the application can be used offline. Internet access is used to update content.
Which edition does my vessel need?
This depends on the vessel, radio equipment, trading area and applicable requirements. Check with the flag administration or radio surveyor if in doubt. We can help identify the product once your requirements are clear.
Are physical editions in stock in Norway?
We stock ITU publications in Norway and dispatch from our warehouse in Sandnes. Check each product page for current availability and delivery times.
