Coded Vessel Manual – LSA & Fire Training Manual for Non-SOLAS Vessels by I.C. Brindle is a comprehensive training and reference manual for operators and crew of non-SOLAS coded vessels.

Vessel-specific documentation
The manual is divided into two parts. Sections 1–10 contain generic information, while Section 11 is intended to be completed by the vessel’s owner or operator.
This section allows details of the actual life-saving appliances, fire-fighting equipment, emergency procedures and escape arrangements on board to be recorded, creating a manual specific to the individual vessel.
The A4 loose-leaf format also makes it easy to update the manual when equipment or procedures change.
The manual refers to recognised codes including the Red Ensign Group (REG) Yacht Code 2024, Malta Commercial Yacht Code 2025 (CYC 2025), Small Commercial Yacht Code 2024 (sCYC 2024), Marshall Islands Yacht Code 2021 (amended 2023) and Cayman Islands Passenger Yacht Code 2016.
Requirements for non-SOLAS vessels may vary between registries and Flag Administrations. Owners and operators should therefore check the information in the manual against the regulations and codes applicable to their particular vessel.
