Grüezi Bag WoodWool Liner is a lightweight and compact sleeping bag liner for hiking, DNT cabins, mountain huts and travel. Its mummy shape is designed to fit neatly inside a sleeping bag, making this the more sleeping-bag-oriented of Grüezi Bag’s two WoodWool liners.

Made from 80% lyocell and 20% wool, the WoodWool fabric is designed to provide a comfortable, dry sleeping climate. Practical arm openings allow you to use your arms while the rest of your body remains comfortably inside the liner.

Designed for use inside a sleeping bag

The mummy shape follows the contours of a sleeping bag more closely than the roomier rectangular Alpine Hut model. This makes the WoodWool Liner particularly suitable for hikers and travellers who primarily want a lightweight liner for use inside their sleeping bag.

The liner also helps protect the inside of your sleeping bag from dirt, reducing the need to wash the sleeping bag itself as frequently.

Arm openings for greater freedom

A particularly practical feature is the integrated arm openings. They allow you to reach outside the liner without having to climb out of it completely – useful when reading, using your phone or reaching for equipment while keeping the rest of your body comfortably inside.

WoodWool with lyocell and wool

The WoodWool fabric consists of 80% lyocell and 20% wool. Lyocell provides a soft and comfortable feel, while wool’s natural ability to absorb and release moisture helps regulate the microclimate around the body.

The result is a material designed to provide a comfortable, dry sleeping climate – particularly useful when temperature and humidity vary throughout the night.

Can add approximately 3–7 °C of insulation

When used inside a sleeping bag, the WoodWool Liner can increase its thermal performance by approximately 3–7 °C, according to Grüezi Bag.

The actual effect depends on factors including outside temperature, humidity, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, clothing and individual sensitivity to cold.

The WoodWool fabric is also designed to work with Grüezi Bag’s AlmWolle and DownWool® insulation without compromising the climate-regulating properties of these materials.

Designed with bed bugs in mind

The WoodWool Liner is constructed without metal parts. According to Grüezi Bag, this makes the liner suitable for microwave treatment against bed bugs.

This is a useful feature for hut-to-hut trips and longer journeys, where textiles and luggage move between different places of accommodation. Always follow Grüezi Bag’s instructions if the product is to be heat-treated.

Also suitable for DNT cabins and mountain huts

Although this model is particularly well suited for use inside a sleeping bag, it can also serve as lightweight personal bedding when staying in DNT cabins, mountain huts, hostels and other accommodation.

If hut accommodation is your primary use and you prefer a roomier rectangular design with an integrated pillow cover, the WoodWool Liner Alpine Hut is the more hut-oriented alternative.

Lightweight and compact

Weighing approximately 320 g excluding the stuff sack and packing down to just 2.8 l, the WoodWool Liner takes up very little space in your backpack.

When packed, it measures approximately Ø 13 × 21 cm, making it well suited to hiking, trekking, cycling, hut-to-hut trips and travel where low weight and compact packing are important.

WoodWool Liner or Alpine Hut?

Choose the WoodWool Liner if low weight, use inside a sleeping bag and practical arm openings are your main priorities.

Choose the WoodWool Liner Alpine Hut if you primarily need a liner for hut accommodation and prefer a spacious rectangular shape with an integrated pillow cover.
