Grüezi Bag WoodWool Liner Alpine Hut is a lightweight and compact sleeping bag liner designed especially for stays in mountain huts and other accommodation, as well as for hiking and travel. It is particularly well suited when you want to bring your own bedding to DNT cabins and other mountain huts without filling your backpack with a conventional bedding set.

Made from 80% lyocell and 20% wool, the WoodWool fabric is designed to provide a comfortable, dry sleeping climate. WoodWool with lyocell and wool

The WoodWool fabric consists of 80% lyocell and 20% wool. Lyocell provides a soft and comfortable feel, while wool’s natural ability to absorb and release moisture helps regulate the microclimate around the body.

The result is a material designed to provide a comfortable, dry sleeping climate – a particularly useful property when temperature and humidity vary throughout the night.

Spacious design and convenient side opening

Rather than the close-fitting mummy shape of a traditional sleeping bag liner, the Alpine Hut has a rectangular shape measuring approximately 190 × 77 cm. This provides plenty of freedom of movement and a more bed-like feel when used in a hut.

A concealed button closure allows the liner to open approximately 65 cm along the side, making it easier to get in and out.

Just 2.8 litres in your backpack

Weighing approximately 420 g excluding the stuff sack and packing down to just 2.8 litres, the WoodWool Liner Alpine Hut takes up very little space in your backpack.

When packed, it measures approximately Ø 13 × 21 cm, making it well suited to hut-to-hut hiking, trekking, cycling and travel where both weight and packed size matter.

Also works as a sleeping bag liner

The WoodWool Liner Alpine Hut is not limited to use as hut bedding. It can also be used inside a sleeping bag, where it helps protect the sleeping bag from dirt.

According to Grüezi Bag, the liner can increase the sleeping bag’s thermal performance by approximately 3–7 °C. The actual effect depends on factors including outside temperature, humidity, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, clothing and individual sensitivity to cold.

The WoodWool fabric is also designed to work with Grüezi Bag’s AlmWolle and DownWool® insulation without compromising the climate-regulating properties of these materials.
