Description
Turkart Berlevåg & Båtsfjord covers the coastal and mountain areas around Berlevåg and Båtsfjord in Finnmark. The map provides an overview of varied hiking opportunities in a landscape characterized by open plains, coastline, mountains and valleys, and is adapted for use throughout the year.
The area offers walks both close to buildings and in more demanding and remote terrain. The map shows trails, terrain shapes, water and relevant outdoor areas, and provides a good basis for planning both short local hikes and longer hikes in the mountains and along the coast. The map has been developed in collaboration with local stakeholders and supports efforts to facilitate outdoor recreation in the region.
The map is at a scale of 1:50,000, which is the most common scale for longer trips. At this scale, 2 cm on the map corresponds to 1 km in the terrain. This provides a good balance between detail and overview of larger areas.
