Nautisk Fritid – an important part of the history

Since the launch of nautiskfritid.no in 2012, Nautisk Fritid has delivered nautical charts, nautical publications, and navigation equipment to thousands of customers along the entire Norwegian coast.

Customers have included leisure boats, commercial vessels, schools, and professional users.

The business built upon the expertise of the professional community at Nautisk Forlag and has for many years contributed to making nautical publications and charts available to a wide audience.

Print-on-Demand nautical charts

Kart.no supplies the Norwegian Mapping Authority’s nautical charts and, as of February 2026, is also the Print-on-Demand provider of nautical charts for the Danish Geodata Agency.
This means that updated Danish, Faroese, and Greenlandic nautical charts are now printed in Norway – and delivered the next day to most addresses in Norway.

Maps with custom coverage

At Kart.no, you can order maps with custom coverage, including nautical charts based on official data from the Norwegian Mapping Authority.

The maps can be customized to a specific area or stretch of coastline and are well-suited for walls, decor, or as a personal gift.

Maps ready for the wall

Maps can also be delivered fully framed, ready to hang on the wall.

IMO publications from stock in Norway

New warehouse and new address

In connection with the merger, the business has moved from Oslo to Sandnes, where warehousing and logistics are now centralized.

All goods are shipped from our warehouse in Sandnes. This provides more efficient order processing, better product availability, and lower shipping costs.
