Use and regulations
This book is used for recording engine-related events and observations as part of the vessel’s logbook keeping.
Engine logbooks are kept in accordance with regulations on logbooks on vessels established by the Norwegian Maritime Authority, and may serve as documentation during inspections and technical surveys.
Responsibility for correct recording lies with the chief engineer or other authorized personnel.
