*Hiking in Southern Lapland* was written by Sam Hedman, a photographer and author based in Hemavan. He has been exploring the mountains of southern Lapland since the 1980s and knows the area better than most. Sam Hedman has previously contributed text and photographs to the popular Calazo books *Fjällvandra i Vindelfjällen* and *Fjällvandra längs Kungsleden*, and conveys both practical local knowledge and a deep love for the mountains through his guidebooks.
