IMO Model Course 1.05 – Advanced Training for Liquefied Gas Tanker Cargo Operations, 2015 Edition is the official IMO publication for advanced training in gas tanker cargo operations. The publication has been developed by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) to support the requirements of the STCW Convention for personnel working on board vessels carrying liquefied gases in bulk.
The manual is designed to ensure that officers and other key personnel have the necessary competence to handle complex and potentially hazardous gas loads in a safe and professional manner. Advanced training in gas tank operations is essential to reduce the risk of fire, explosions, leaks and serious incidents during loading and unloading operations.
