IMO 2020: Consistent Implementation of MARPOL Annex VI, 2019 Edition is an official publication of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) that provides guidance for the consistent implementation of the global marine fuel sulphur content requirements.
The IMO 2020 regulations represented one of the biggest environmental changes in international shipping, with a global reduction in the permitted sulphur content of fuel from 3.50% to 0.50% from January 1, 2020.
