Sampling & Analysis of Dredged Material, 2005 Edition is the official IMO publication describing international guidelines for the sampling and analysis of dredged material to be considered for disposal at sea. The publication has been developed by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) in cooperation with the parties to the London Convention and London Protocol.
When dredging ports, fairways and other maritime areas, there is often a need to assess whether the dredged material can be disposed of at sea in an environmentally sound manner.
