Usage and Regulations
This book is used for recording engine-related events and observations as part of the vessel’s logbook entries.
The engine logbook is kept in accordance with the regulations on ship logbooks established by the Norwegian Maritime Authority, and may serve as documentation during inspections and technical surveys.
Responsibility for correct entries lies with the Chief Engineer or other authorized personnel.
