Description
Turkart Loppa covers Loppa municipality and surrounding areas in Finnmark. The map has been developed in collaboration with Finnmark Friluftsråd and provides an overview of a varied landscape with coastline, islands, mountains and valleys. The area offers hiking opportunities throughout the year, from close hikes near settlements to more demanding hikes in open and weather-exposed terrain.
The map shows trails, terrain, water and key outdoor areas in the region. It provides a good basis for planning both short and longer trips in an area characterized by large distances and changing weather conditions. The terrain information provides a clear representation of contours and landforms, which is useful for orientation in open coastal and mountainous terrain.
The map is at a scale of 1:50,000, which is the most common scale for longer trips. At this scale, 2 cm on the map corresponds to 1 km in the terrain. This provides a good balance between detail and overview of larger areas.
