    Description

The Weems & Plath ParaLock Plotter 7 ¼” (18.4 cm) is a practical and innovative navigation ruler (paralock plotter), designed to combine the features of a traditional parallel ruler with additional functionality that is particularly useful when using GPS positions. The plotter is made from clear, durable acrylic for maximum visibility of the map, and has a compact format that makes it easy to handle and store.

The unique, patented feature is a locking button that allows you to fix the two rulers at the desired width, so you can quickly determine and transfer a GPS position on the chart. Two finger holes act as friction points that provide good control even in rough seas, and inform the user if the tool slips during plotting. Although the plotter is short (7 ¼” / 18.4 cm), it opens to the same width as a standard parallel ruler and thus covers the same working area as longer models. :contentReference

The plotter also features graduations that can be used as a protractor for determining compass heading and angle measurement, as well as a ruler along the bottom for easy measurement and transfer of distances to the chart scale. The Weems & Plath ParaLock Plotter is a robust and flexible tool that is well suited for navigation courses, maritime education and leisure use where space-saving but precise tools are important. :contentReference
