Lightweight comfort with DownWool®
Grüezi Bag DownWool Extreme Light 2.0 is designed for trips where low weight and minimal pack size really matter. It combines an exceptionally low weight with Grüezi Bag’s signature DownWool® 2.0 insulation, making it particularly well suited to summer hiking, trekking, bikepacking and other lightweight adventures.
Rather than choosing between down and wool, DownWool® combines the strengths of both materials.
Down + wool – why DownWool®?
Down is an exceptionally efficient insulating material: lightweight, highly compressible and capable of providing excellent warmth for very little weight. Conditions inside a sleeping bag, however, can change considerably throughout the night as temperature and humidity fluctuate.
This is where wool makes the difference.
DownWool® 2.0 combines 70% down with 30% wool. The down provides excellent insulation with very little weight and pack volume, while the wool helps regulate both temperature and moisture. The result is a more balanced microclimate inside the sleeping bag.
In practical terms, this means a more stable and comfortable sleeping climate throughout the night, particularly as temperature and humidity change.
Designed for minimum weight and pack size
Extreme Light 2.0 is designed specifically for trips where every gram and litre of pack space matters. Its low weight and remarkably small packed size make it an excellent choice when you carry all your own equipment and want to keep your pack as light and compact as possible.
This makes Extreme Light 2.0 particularly well suited to trekking, bikepacking, long-distance hiking and lightweight summer adventures.
Once compressed, the sleeping bag takes up remarkably little space, leaving more room in your pack for the rest of your equipment.
Thoughtful details without unnecessary weight
Despite its uncompromising focus on weight, Extreme Light 2.0 retains the practical details that matter on the trail. The adjustable hood, two-way zip and pre-shaped footbox are designed to provide comfort and functionality without adding unnecessary weight.
Grüezi Bag’s foot ventilation system allows excess heat to escape – or your feet to rest outside the bag – without having to open the entire sleeping bag. Feater loops also allow Grüezi Bag’s optional foot-warming system to be attached when required.
Choose the right size
Extreme Light 2.0 is available in Regular, Long and Extra Long, allowing you to choose a sleeping bag that matches your height rather than relying on a single universal length.
Regular is designed for body heights up to 175 cm, Long up to 185 cm and Extra Long up to 200 cm. Choosing the right size improves both comfort and thermal efficiency. An unnecessarily large sleeping bag contains more air for your body to warm, while a bag that is too short can compress the insulation and reduce both warmth and sleeping comfort.
