Grüezi Bag Schlafsackwarmer is a lightweight and compact insulated liner designed to add extra warmth to an existing sleeping bag. Instead of carrying an additional or heavier sleeping bag, the Schlafsackwarmer can be placed inside your sleeping bag as an extra insulating layer.

Depending on the sleeping bag, sleeping mat and conditions, Grüezi Bag states that it can provide up to 10 °C of additional warmth. Weighing approximately 450 g with a packed volume of just 3.8 l, it is a practical way to extend the range of the sleeping bag you already own.

Up to 10 °C of additional warmth

The Schlafsackwarmer uses ARL Air-Fiber-3D, a synthetic insulation with a fill weight of 80 g/m². The insulating layer traps warm air around the body and helps reduce heat loss inside the sleeping bag.

According to Grüezi Bag, the Schlafsackwarmer can increase the thermal performance of an existing sleeping system by up to 10 °C, depending on the combination.

This should not be interpreted as a fixed temperature shift for every sleeping bag. The actual effect depends on factors including the sleeping bag used, the combination of sleeping mats, ambient conditions and individual sensitivity to cold.

An easy way to extend the range of your sleeping bag

For many trips, you do not necessarily need another sleeping bag – you may simply need some additional insulation. The Schlafsackwarmer allows you to supplement your existing sleeping bag when colder nights are expected or when you want some extra temperature margin on your trip.

Its universal design allows it to be used with almost any sleeping bag. In Grüezi Bag sleeping bags with dedicated Feater loops, it can also be secured using the integrated buttons.

2-in-1 – can also be used on its own

The Schlafsackwarmer is not limited to use as an insulating liner. In warm conditions, it can also be used on its own as a lightweight summer or travel sleeping bag.

Grüezi Bag gives a practical recommended range of approximately +16 to +24 °C when used on its own. This makes it suitable for warm summer nights, camping, hut stays, travel and other situations where a conventional sleeping bag may be unnecessarily warm.

Synthetic insulation for changeable conditions

ARL Air-Fiber-3D insulation is made from 100% polyester. The synthetic fibre insulation is easy to care for, dries relatively quickly and is suitable for changeable and humid conditions.

This makes the Schlafsackwarmer a practical additional insulating layer for hiking and camping trips where temperature and humidity can vary.

Adjustable drawstring helps retain warmth

An adjustable drawstring with stopper allows the Schlafsackwarmer to be drawn closer around the body below the shoulders. This helps reduce the amount of warm air escaping through the opening.

It is a simple but useful feature when the Schlafsackwarmer is used as an additional insulating layer on colder nights.

Compact enough to carry as an extra layer

The Schlafsackwarmer weighs approximately 450 g excluding the stuff sack and packs down to approximately Ø 16 × 19 cm. Its packed volume is just 3.8 l.

This makes it considerably easier to carry than an additional sleeping bag and particularly useful on trips where you are uncertain how low the temperature may fall overnight.
