Grüezi Bag DownWool KidsTeen is designed for children and teenagers across a wide range of heights. The sleeping bag can be adjusted to fit children approximately 100 to 170 cm tall, allowing the same sleeping bag to be used for many years as the child grows.

A horizontal zip at the foot end allows you to extend the sleeping bag when more space is needed. When the extra length is not required, the sleeping area remains shorter, reducing the amount of unnecessary space the child’s body needs to warm.

The model comes in Lemon, a fresh and distinctive colour that also makes the sleeping bag easy to recognise among other outdoor gear.

330 g DownWool® with down and wool

KidsTeen is filled with 330 g of DownWool®, a combination of 70% duck down and 30% mechanically processed wool.

The down provides excellent insulation in relation to its weight and helps keep the pack size small, while the wool helps regulate temperature and moisture inside the sleeping bag. Together, they help create a more balanced and comfortable sleeping climate, particularly in humid or changing conditions.

The filling uses 90/10 duck down with a stated fill power of 700+ cuin.

No standardised temperature rating for children’s sleeping bags

Grüezi Bag does not specify T Comfort, T Limit or T Extreme values for KidsTeen. According to EN ISO 23537-1, precise temperature ratings are not permitted for children’s sleeping bags.

KidsTeen should therefore not be compared with adult sleeping bags on the basis of standardised temperature ratings. Children’s warmth requirements can vary considerably and are influenced by factors such as age, clothing, sleeping mat, humidity and individual sensitivity to cold.

Adjustable from approximately 100 to 170 cm

One of the key features of KidsTeen is its adjustable construction. The mummy-shaped sleeping bag measures approximately 135–190 × 68 × 45 cm and is suitable for children of average build approximately 100 to 170 cm tall.

For a smaller child, the sleeping bag is used in its shorter configuration. As the child grows, the horizontal zip at the foot end can be opened to extend the sleeping bag.

This allows the same sleeping bag to accompany a child for many years while avoiding an unnecessarily long sleeping area when the child is still small.

Lightweight and compact when packed

KidsTeen weighs approximately 730 g, excluding the stuff sack. When compressed, it measures approximately Ø 17 × 25 cm and has a pack volume of around 5.5 litres.

The combination of low weight, compact pack size and adjustable length makes KidsTeen particularly practical for camping, travel, cabin stays, school trips and outdoor adventures.

Quiet and comfortable materials

The outer and inner fabrics are made from recycled 20D 380T nylon. The material is lightweight, robust and breathable, while also being wind- and water-resistant.

Grüezi Bag also highlights the low-rustle material, helping to create a quieter sleeping environment. This can be particularly useful for children who move frequently during the night or are sensitive to noise.

Pre-shaped hood without a drawcord

KidsTeen features a pre-shaped hood with Face Baffle to protect the head area and help reduce heat loss around the face.

The hood deliberately has no drawcord. This is a safety feature designed to avoid the risk associated with cords around the head and neck area.

Foot ventilation

The special zip construction allows the child to slide their feet out of the sleeping bag and rest them comfortably on top when they become too warm.

This provides an easy way to release excess heat and regulate temperature during the night without having to open the entire sleeping bag.

Pre-shaped footbox

The pre-shaped footbox provides enough space for the toes to rest in a natural position without unnecessarily compressing the insulation around the feet.

Maintaining space around the feet improves comfort and helps the insulation perform as intended.

Two-way Auto-Lock zip

KidsTeen features a two-way Auto-Lock zip that can be operated from either end and from both inside and outside the sleeping bag.

The Auto-Lock function helps prevent the zip from opening unintentionally during the night. An insulated zip baffle helps reduce heat loss and cold spots along the opening.

The zip also features anti-snag protection and robust protective webbing to reduce the risk of the fabric becoming caught. Its light colour makes the zip easier to locate in the dark.

Pockets for small essentials

The sleeping bag features both an internal and an external pocket for small items the child may want to keep within easy reach, such as a head torch or other personal belongings.

Machine washable and designed for practical use

KidsTeen is machine washable, making it particularly practical for a children’s sleeping bag that may see frequent use on camping trips, school trips and outdoor adventures.

The materials are also certified according to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 and tested for harmful substances.
