Grüezi Bag Wolle Kids World Traveller is a durable and comfortable children’s sleeping bag designed for hiking, camping, school trips and travel. The sleeping bag can be adjusted to fit children approximately 100 to 170 cm tall, allowing it to be used for several years as the child grows.

A horizontal zip at the foot end makes it easy to extend the sleeping bag when more space is needed. When the extra length is not required, the sleeping bag can be used in its shorter configuration, reducing the amount of unnecessary space the child’s body needs to warm.

The insulation combines lavalan® AlmWolle with synthetic ARL-Fiber-3D. The wool helps regulate temperature and moisture, while the synthetic insulation provides reliable warmth and performs well even in damp conditions.

The model comes in the distinctive Holly Green colour.

AlmWolle® for a comfortable sleeping climate

The upper insulation layer consists of lavalan® AlmWolle, made from 85% virgin wool and 15% PLA derived from cornstarch. Wool has a natural ability to absorb and manage moisture, helping to maintain a more stable and comfortable sleeping climate throughout the night.

This is particularly useful in high humidity or when temperatures fluctuate. The wool helps regulate moisture and temperature inside the sleeping bag rather than allowing moisture to accumulate close to the body.

Synthetic ARL-Fiber-3D

The second insulation layer consists of ARL-Fiber-3D hollow fibre made from polyester. This synthetic insulation provides reliable insulation, performs well in damp conditions and dries relatively quickly.

The combination of wool and synthetic insulation makes Kids World Traveller a practical sleeping bag for varied outdoor use where conditions are not always dry and predictable.

No standardised temperature ratings for children’s sleeping bags

Grüezi Bag does not specify T Comfort, T Limit or T Extreme values for Wolle Kids World Traveller. According to EN ISO 23537-1, precise standardised temperature ratings are not permitted for children’s sleeping bags.

Children have different insulation requirements, and perceived warmth is influenced by factors such as age, clothing, sleeping mat, humidity and individual sensitivity to cold. Children’s sleeping bags should therefore not be compared directly with adult models on the basis of standardised temperature ratings alone.

Adjustable from approximately 100 to 170 cm

Kids World Traveller has a mummy shape and measures approximately 140–190 × 65 × 45 cm. It is designed for children of average build approximately 100 to 170 cm tall.

The length is adjusted using a horizontal zip at the foot end. For smaller children, the sleeping bag is used in its shorter configuration. As the child grows and needs more space, the zip can be opened to extend the foot end.

This allows the same sleeping bag to be used for many years as the child grows.

Compact pack size

The sleeping bag weighs approximately 1.05 kg plus the stuff sack. When compressed, it measures approximately Ø 18 × 20 cm and has a pack volume of just 5 litres.

Its compact pack size makes it easy to carry in a backpack or travel bag for camping, school trips, travel and other overnight adventures.

Soft and quiet materials

The outer fabric is made from recycled 40D 300T soft polyester and is breathable, lightweight and water-repellent.

The inner fabric is made from soft, recycled Feelsilk microfibre in polyester. The materials are designed to feel comfortable against the skin while minimising rustling sounds when the child moves inside the sleeping bag.

Hood designed for children

The hood has a pre-installed drawstring channel, but the sleeping bag is supplied without a drawstring. This is a safety feature designed to avoid the risk associated with cords around the head and neck area of younger children.

If required when the child is older, the existing channel allows a drawstring to be fitted later. Grüezi Bag notes that most children prefer to use the hood open.

Foot ventilation

The special zip construction allows the child to slide their feet out of the sleeping bag and rest them comfortably on top when they become too warm.

This provides an easy way to release excess heat during the night without having to open the entire sleeping bag.

Two-way Auto-Lock zip

Kids World Traveller features a two-way Auto-Lock zip that can be operated from either end and from both inside and outside the sleeping bag.

The Auto-Lock function helps prevent the zip from opening unintentionally during the night. An insulated zip baffle helps reduce heat loss and cold spots along the opening.

The construction also helps reduce the risk of the outer fabric becoming caught in the zip. The light-coloured zip is easier to locate in the dark.

Pockets for small essentials

The sleeping bag features both an internal and an external pocket for small items the child may want to keep within easy reach, such as a head torch or other personal belongings.
