GRÜEZI BAG

A different approach
to sleeping bags

Grüezi Bag develops sleeping bags with a particular focus on sleep climate – how warmth and moisture affect comfort throughout the night.

Founder Markus Wiesböck is behind DownWool®, where 70% down is combined with 30% wool to make use of the properties of both natural materials.

What if a sleeping bag should do more than just keep you warm?

A good night outdoors is about more than insulation. The body releases both heat and moisture while we sleep, and conditions inside the sleeping bag change throughout the night.

This is the starting point for much of Grüezi Bag’s product development. Rather than simply asking how warm a sleeping bag can be, they have worked on how the materials can contribute to a more comfortable sleep climate.

DOWNWOOL® – DOWN + WOOL

Two natural materials.
Two different roles.

Down provides excellent insulation relative to its weight. Wool helps regulate temperature and moisture around the body.

In DownWool®, 70% down is combined with 30% wool to create a more balanced sleep climate while retaining the low weight and excellent insulation of down.

SLEEP CLIMATE

Comfort is about more than temperature

During sleep, the body releases both heat and moisture. That means comfort during the night depends on more than simply how much insulation a sleeping bag provides.

The role of wool in DownWool® is to help manage variations in temperature and moisture throughout the night. This is an important part of the thinking behind Grüezi Bag sleeping bags.
